Consultation has concluded
At its meeting on Thursday, Aug. 8, the Sierra Vista City Council moved forward development code amendments for public comment that would expand the hours of operation for recreational marijuana facilities. The amendment was requested by Trulieve, a recreational marijuana dispensary in Sierra Vista. The change would expand the hours of operation from no earlier than 9 a.m. and no later than 7 p.m. to no earlier than 8 a.m. and no later than 10 p.m.
Review the proposed changes and submit comments below during the 30-day public comment period. Please submit comments by Monday, Sept. 9.
I 100% support the expansion of hours, as Trulieve does everything can to better the community that they serve!
I live in the neighborhood of this establishment. I already have concerns about car accidents happening because of reckless use of this product. I am against extending the hours for this establishment or any other selling this product.

As a veteran and medical marijuana patient, I’m extremely grateful for the dispensary’s operating hours and would love for them to be open as long as they’d like. Trulieve brought higher than average paying jobs to Sierra Vista. Increasing their hours, increases jobs in the city and increases the overall economy. They have been open for nearly two years with no crimes, at the actual location or elsewhere in town related to cannabis. Their security measures and the safety of employees and customers are top priority. The management cares deeply about the town and its people, stacking discounts for medical patients as they are not a medical facility and consistently using local food trucks and entertainers for events. Having them open longer can only benefit the community.

My health comes first and they never extend their hours. I smell this stuff and I get major migraines and I don't need this in my health. This druggies needs to have a place somewhere else no don't have it at all. My health is first. Not this marijuana

I am grateful for the decision in allowing the dispensary to operate longer hours. It keeps more of my business local. When I need to buy medicine, it’s not always convenient to get there before close.
