Consultation has concluded
Residents are invited to offer input on two design concepts proposed for the development of a new community park on southern end of town. This public input period will remain open for two weeks (through Tuesday, April 2).
Tentatively named Roadrunner Park, this 28-acre site is bordered to the north by Garden Canyon Linear Park, to the west by St. Andrews Drive, to the south by Canyon De Flores, and to the east by Camino Bella Rosa. The City has owned about 12 acres of the site for many years and acquired the remaining acreage from the Sierra Vista Unified School District in 2021. In 2022, the City received input from about 1,400 residents to inform the development of design concepts for the park.
The Sierra Vista City Council discussed the two proposed concepts at its March 12, 2024, work session and will discuss them again on Tuesday, March 26. Residents are encouraged to review the concepts and offer their input via the brief survey below.
Once comments from the public and City Council are provided, a final conceptual plan will be developed. Then cost estimates will be made and a phasing plan will be created to complete the park over time as funding is secured and dedicated.
