Start a city department to run fiber Internet service like SandyNet in Sandy, Oregon. Subscriber fees cover the cost of Internet service there. 300 mbps and no data caps is about $42 per month, and 1000mbps for $60. There is a distinct lack of fiber Internet competition here.

Reducing the amount of plastic trash in the city
Make the usage of plastic one use bags forbidden in SV. Plastic bag trash is the single most issue of unsightly streets and lots in SV. We can not grow our city and continue to look like a trash dump at all our shopping areas. Outlaw plastic one usage bags and make the shopping center property owner responsible for clean up of neighboring lots. Additionally, fine companies for the failure to secure the lids of their dumpsters (which are always open).
